I'll have to start strategizing my bracket ... I've taken 2nd in the last couple of years at work (highest placing lady) and those 50 bucks are pretty sweet. I'd love to see my Orangemen go far but they've been so uneven this season (still sore over that Big East loss on Friday and I miss my boyfriends Wes & Jonny but I'm still a fan for life). Hope next season is stronger for them. Boeheim's alluded to impending retirement and I don't know HOW I feel about that.

i won last year at work for obvious reasons. hope we can make it two!

I'm a huge Uconn fan (born & raised in CT & it's pretty much all we have, lol!), although I'm not sure how far they will go this year. They have the talent but they haven't been consistent at all. The Big East tourney championship run & eventual win makes things look promising, though.

Glad to see Indiana State in there!
I have an affinity for Duke. I just love a team that goes for three-pointers as consistently as they do every year.
I need to look over the draw better. I will do so at work today, my home laptop doesn't open the PDF's no matter what I download.
I don't think I saw Indiana University.
Every year I pull for Butler, Louisville or Kentucky (If Indiana U is not in it - my Alma mater) and every year they lose a close game that takes me forever to recover from. So, I am not going to watch any of their games and maybe they will advance further. lol I didn't even watch the CBS or ESPN Bracketology shows as I do every year.

This year I haven't followed college basketball as closely as I usually do, but I'm still hopeful that this is the year I get all the games in the tournament right. ;)

Final Four:

North Carolina

Duke over North Carolina
Louisville over Pitt

Champ: Duke. Again.

(All that being said, I'll be rooting with everything I got for Michigan State -- but I haven't been real impressed with them this year. Then again who else has been to six of the last twelve Final Fours?)

oh. OH. OH! butler! you slay me! temple...you please me :)

that ky/princeton was a nailbiter as i have kentucky going faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar....

03-17-2011, 09:18 PM
Oh, Louisville. Didn't you know I had you picked to go to the final game? :(

03-18-2011, 12:20 AM
ahhh...March Madness.

The only time I can ever be found watching any sort of basketball game. I love the enthusiasm and thrill of the games.

My final four is

with Pitt over UNC for the final.

03-18-2011, 01:09 AM
my final 4 is:

duke over kansas for the final!

Can't believe Louisville is out. Ah well.

03-18-2011, 10:32 AM
I was surprised by that, too -- thought Louisville would last a couple more rounds. Also I was strutting around because I thought I had picked Butler to upset, but really I had chosen Belmont in another game. Double doh!

i had hopes wofford for a while last night--until BYU go their shit together. unacceptable! i did have some good upsets though---temple, gonzaga.......in almost 20 (my god im 10000) years of giving a shit about ncaa basketball, i have learned to NEVER underestimate gonzaga.

loved seeing kyrie irving back in form today! took him a bit to warm up, but then it was pretty spectacular to watch after being out for so long.

03-18-2011, 10:02 PM
Butler got through. :sigh of relief: I guess, they were never at risk, but still.

03-19-2011, 07:13 PM
Last year was so depressing as a WVU fan. I'm trying not to get my hopes up this year. And really if WVU ends up losing I don't care who wins as long as it isn't OSU.

Woah! Pitt just lost in a heartbreaker because of a foul at the buzzer, so there goes one of my picks for the Final Four. I also highly doubt that Duke will make it there, either. I'm not a fan of Duke, but I seriously don't think they are as good this year as they have been in the past. This has been a crazy tournament so far, so who knows what's going to happen.

03-20-2011, 12:28 AM

Amazing game but damn that hurts!

03-20-2011, 12:33 AM
I had Pitt in the Elite 8 but not the Final 4. Butler, holy crap! I did not see that coming.

03-20-2011, 07:06 AM
This is one of the worst years I've had with my picks. Already lost two of my final four. (Pitt, Louisville) :(
Well at least my champ is still around. I'll just keep hoping Kyrie Irving's return is what Duke needs to keep them on top.

03-20-2011, 07:26 PM
duke cat is not amused by michigan's skills.

orangemen fail. my bracket is all sorts of fucked up, but im better off than the people had pitt going all the way. i suppose......le sigh.

03-25-2011, 03:02 AM
Sorry to all of you Duke fans but, man did they just get trounced!! A part of me wanted to see them meet up with Uconn again (so that Uconn could kick their butt) but oh well.
Oh, and Kemba Walker is kind of amazing.

03-25-2011, 03:05 AM
:( oh, well. it will always boggle me how you can be completely on your game one day and completely off the next. they look like totally different teams depending on which day of the week it is. maybe next year! <3

03-27-2011, 12:23 AM
Uconn in the Final Four!!!! I believed that they had the talent for this all season but they definitely didn't always show it. Wow.

im #1 in the work pool--the lions share of whom thought osu would take it all the way. my official bracket has uk, uconn, (possibly out in the next few minutes) kansas and (rip) florida in the final 4 with uconn all the way--when i posted it, it seemed like a long shot---but i have a 1/4 chance!

03-27-2011, 09:58 PM
even though my team is out, i've enjoyed this year's tournament more than i ever have. i've watched more basketball this year than usual and know a little more now. really enjoying all the surprises.

03-28-2011, 02:48 AM
No one in our bracket has their winner left! We found out today who won it all... kinda weird since there are so many games left.

04-03-2011, 12:52 AM
So happy for Butler! A team from my hometown in the Championship Game! Can't get better than that!! Now let's have Kentucky win and make it full circle for me!!

04-05-2011, 03:44 AM

Mani is excited about Uconn's NCAA Championship win!!!
