So they called instead of e-mailed? Is the event at the radio station itself?

Boo. I got to go to one of these back when she played SXSW and it was really nice. BTW- the regulars bullied their way in despite not having won the tickets. It really made me mad since I had won fair and square.

Why am I not surprised.

There are about 70 people here. It's really small and intimate. We saw tori walk in with tash. There's also a second mic set up and a high stool for someone to sit. Maybe just for the announcer but interesting. The front row is reserved for sponsors of the event so fans are 2nd floor and back. However, the seats in the front are lower and our seats are a bit more elevated. It should start soon!

"Look, here are all the people you are jealous of."

Did Tori say this to Tash?

Sakre

No- they were just showing video of the audience, and I was trying to be snarky ;)

Was there anything else apart from Star of Wonder?

Winter, Upside Down, Edge of the Moon (first half), Star of Wonder

Winter, Upside Down, Edge of the Moon (first half), Star of Wonder

Ah, I tuned in before Edge of the Moon. Winter is an appropriate Solstice song, as is Star of Wonder, but Upside Down seems like a surprising (though not unwelcome) choice.

She played winter, upside down, edge of the moon, and star of wonder. There was en empty seat in front of me (front row!) and tash was sitting to the right. I thought a little cac prac was going down but it didn't happen. Ha

dsafghadskhfjgkdhfjsg I asked for Upside Down in Atlanta. Of course she'd wait until the very end of the tour to bring it out again.

Upside Down was a request from the radio interviewer... She was super cute about how excited she was!

I remember the Atlanta radio show in 2009 she was facing us and we sat on the floor like less than a meter away

I was thrilled to hear Upside Down, so thanks to the radio announcer for her request :)

From the interview, about The Light Princess: Tori says they're having another workshop in February/March. She also says a show has to be artistic in order to play at the British National, and not too commercial or camp. "And... maybe I got a little carried away with camp. So now I'm going back to middle ground."

O RLY. I am not surprised at all that she got too camp. Nice (and a bit surprising) to hear her being honest about it, though.

And she sounds optimistic! Isn't sure when it'll be ready to go ("before I'm 80"), but still sounds like she thinks it's going to happen at some point. Which is great.

Side note: She made an effort to sing "some say a star" instead of "some say ooh star." Which is also great. :) I really love Star of Wonder, but that's been the one thing that always kills it for me. I wonder why it changed...

;l It only happens when I'm singing along to the song, but if I sing it alone I say it right. I think.

I finally got around to watching this. I thought she looked kind of tired or sleepy. Was this earlier in the morning? I'm not normally a big fan of Edge of the Moon, but I thought this performance was fantastic! I enjoyed the interview part(s) to it as well.

That's her best solo radio performance of Star of Wonder ever :)
