Perth's local 8pm start time is 7am EST, so if there is a tweeter/texter, more of us might be able to join a freak out.

Plus the shows have been starting closer to 9pm, which makes it 8am EST. A perfectly leisurely time! ;)

I'm sad not to be in Perth for this show. I saw her there in 05, 07, and 09, and so my Tori dreams really came true there. Now I'm back to living somewhere she'll never play, and as much as I want Perth peeps to get a great set, my heart might also break if it's super good ;l

Oooo 8 works out even better. I'm already breakfasted and dressed and good to go, but at 7 I'm still running around.

It's hard to know a show is happening that you can't attend. I'm super resentful of the shows I missed, but at the same time happy for those who did go.

Yeah, I really hope it's a great show and I'm forever thankful she toured that many times while I was living there. I have fond memories of coming home after the shows and immediately going on @ to pass on the setlist. Ahhh, those pre-twitter days ...

Veeeeery excited about the show tomoz, and definitely heading down to the venue during the day in hopes of an m&g.

Fullofwish, I will think of you! This is my first Perth show, I've just moved over from Brisbane. I saw Tori (and met her) in Sydney in 05, then in Brisbane on my birthday in 07, then in Melbourne and Brisbane (where I was able to meet her again) in 09. I feel very lucky to be able to see her in so many cities.

Mostly I am still so happy Tori keeps coming back to Australia. When I was 15 - in 1996 - I thought if I ever got to see her live in concert, I could die happily. If my 15 year old self could see that I've seen Tori live four times and met her twice, my little angst self would have shit twice and died with happiness.

Hi guys, this will be my first ever Tori concert tonight in Perth, so excited! Just wondering what the best time is to go there in the hopes of a meet and greet?

Hey Lucy, in the Unrepentant Geraldines Australian tour thread, me, Pirates Yeah! and masters_choc have been talking about the possible Perth m&g. I am going to the venue around lunchtime-ish. No word yet on whether she definitely will or won't be doing one, so we shall see! Looking forward to the concert tonight, you must be VERY excited to see her for the first time.

Not looking promising for live updates but we're still just gonna sit back, sip our morning coffee and keep pretending to work.

Ya know what, I cannot look at the abreviation for "Silent All These Years" without thinking about thai chicken satay! [icon16]

Wow that looks like an amazing setlist! I'd have been so excited to hear almost all those songs - and all in a row would have been brilliant!

That is one hell of a setlist.

Her thumb almost looks bloodied in this shot. Weird reflection. Great set-list, btw.

She's been on fire with these performances and this set with the recently arranged Parasol, Doughnut Song, Carbon, Liquid Diamonds, Siren, Sister Janet!!, and Apollo's Frock looks to be fantastic. The only thing is that I am kind of over her doing covers. The woman has such a huge back catalogue of her own music that I wish she'd just concentrate on that for a while.

Hey all, it was a fab show.

The m&g yesterday was awesome. There were around 30 people there, Tori spent a good few minutes chatting with each and every person, and was happy to sign something and have a photo with everyone. It was my third time meeting her, and by far the best because my nerves were at a manageable level and I could actually speak! We had a lovely conversation about how she thinks there is a different 'feel' in Australia, and she thinks people feed more off the energy of the land and are more connected than in other parts of the world such as London and New York. She said people seem more disconnected from one another in London and New York, more exhausted, less in tune with the land. Very interesting to hear her insight on that. She said she does love coming here and would like to see a lot more WA - the desert etc. She said the desert reminded her of parts of the Southern US. She said that 'connectedness' can be found in the US, but you have to seek it out. Great chat.

Met some lovely people there, including some old oztori people from long ago, which was great.

The show - wow, great setlist. I requested Doughnut Song, and she played that second (I'm sure I wasn't the only one who requested it!). Siren and Apollo's Frock were nice surprises. The Elton John cover was very cool - lots of thumping loud piano and a big voice.

CfG and 16 Shades each had backing tracks which I quite liked.

Taxi Ride was great - she finished with 'We've got a long taxi ride ahead, from Moscow, to St Pete's, to Washington, to Canberra and home.' I'd never thought of it as being a political song before, but there it was.

She's just great as always, such an experienced performer and very warm and assured. A pleasure to be there, and wonderful that she keeps coming to Australia.

hey j.

This set list is utter perfection. I would be jealous, but the Melbourne set list was also pretty stellar.

I wonder if any recordings will emerge.

Marianne, Apollo, Carbon, Siren, Sister Janet, Oysters... I would've been a mess.
