Woa! Is that some kinda doppelganger?? That kitchen seems a little pedestrian for her. Also, since when did she start cooking?

Also - is that news article even necessary? Aren't we all living in the same fucked up reality?

Something is off about the picture... notice the electrical outlets in the background. That doesn’t seem like Portland, OR to me.

This is hilarious. So we inadvertently got a new Tori photo that erroneously accompanied a coronavirus article? I wonder what Tori article is coming out soon that the picture was supposed to accompany.

The link to NPR at the bottom of the article shows the real person. I guess there will be an article out shortly then with this photo. I love that Tori looks pretty casual. I guess this is a photo of her social distancing / self isolating.

I hope the article hints at some new album news (not just the book).
I see myself sort of as a small to medium vineyard. And they usually don't sell as much as the screw-top wine down in Safeway. But I don't make wine for Safeway. God bless Safeway. If I am a winemaker I am not going to make screw-top wine ~ Tori Amos

It appears that Scarlet’s Walk is getting some sort of reissue in August!

Anyone know anything about that label, Music On CD?

I can’t imagine they are remasters because she skipped Choirgirl and Venus. Is it possible she bought back her post-Atlantic discography and is reissuing them on a new imprint, the way Kate Bush did with Fish People?

I checked out their website. They essentially re-release out-of-print titles on CD in Europe. They’ve already done Night of Hunters.

Oh interesting, Music On CD does look to be affiliated (or at least has the same font and is also based in the Netherlands) with Music On Vinyl who are a big producer of vinyl for titles which are out of print or were never released on vinyl. They did the UtP reisssue a couple years before Rhino did theirs, along with most Alanis albums, K's Choice, Nicole Atkins, Tracy Bonham and many more. They generally get their hands on the original masters from the record company. That doesn't mean they'll press a vinyl for Scarlet's Walk but it's certainly interesting if they have some degree of rights to the album... They do have a "request" e-mail so I just wrote to see if there's any chance we could see a vinyl release.

I know I’d still buy it as a placeholder, but I’d have a hard time getting excited for a non-endorsed LP ala Music on Vinyl. Never mind half of their pressings sounds like shit.
