Was her Twitter response to me kind of rude? Yeah, but I don't deny I didn't deserve it! I'm glad she stuck up for her work, but I maintain that there is zero effort in that album cover. I would help her design a better one for free, and I guarantee it would look better.
yeah i've always liked her too, including when she had her reality show. i think she's pretty underrated when it comes to pop songwriting. i wonder if she's ever tried writing for other artists?

Good question, I can't think of any at the moment but she definitely should look into it.

When I listen to a song like "Falling In Love" from her second album, it's the kind of storytelling songwriting that I love. I'll duck tomatoes for this, but Taylor Swift sometimes incorporates a similar songwriting style. The song "All Too Well" reminds me lyrically of something Lisa would write.

Maybe you can parlay your DM'ing into an interview request when the album comes out. Hey, you only live once.. worst she can say is no. Obviously, she knows you're not a hater and you bothering to tweet about it at all was probably all groovy as far as she is concerned.

And I can see where you're going with TS. They are quite comparable in some ways. I know that TS has covered "Stay" many a time. Lisa has a bigger chord library when she is singing solo, I would wager. Actually, she is probably superior to TS in every way when it comes to live performance. She's just (Lisa) never really fully taken advantage of the things she could have. When she was at her peak, in my opinion, I think she had a lot of opportunities and unfair advantages she could have taken.. and she chose not to.. which is probably why she does command a bit of respect that TS will probably never have.
    Who said you were evil?
    My SAT scores.

Rolling Stone interview about the release and announcing (but no date yet) the new album she's been working on (already detailed in a few of her Waiting For Wednesday livestreams). Looking forward to another new "adult" album from her, and hope it's a bit folkier than No Fairytale.

It's weird that she's branding the Bright Eyes cover like it's brand new... maybe she doesn't know that it was an iTunes bonus track for No Fairytale?

I can't wait to hear more about the new album; that one-off soundtrack song isn't great and I really hope she returns to the folk-pop space where she belongs. No Fairytale is by far my least favorite of her albums.

Yay; I was just going to post yesterday - apparently she did that thing again where she low-key releases it in Japan first. Whole thing is out over there!

Actually quite like the song! Nice old-school vibe.
