    ^That was pretty awesome! I hadn't seen/heard that before.

I think the title track from Firecracker is becoming my favorite song of hers!

Huge fan of her's. I was in 3rd grade when I got the Tails CD, so I really consider it a jumping off point into the singer-songwriter genre I came to love. While Tails always will hold the sentimental value, she really has a strong catalogue. I think we should do top 10s! I'll report back with mine after I revisit some stuff today.

Oh, I thought I updated this thread!

She has a new album out February 5 called "No Fairy Tale."

    1. No Fairy Tale
    2. The 90's
    3. Weak Day
    4. Walls
    5. A Hot Minute
    6. Sick, Sick, Sick
    7. Matches
    8. Married
    9. Swept Away
    10. He Loved You So Much
    11. Ami, I'm Sorry
    12. The Worst

First single, the title track, is out next week. Listen to a clip here.

Also, of the album cover... I tweeted about it, and kind of got served up by Lisa herself:

lol d'oh! But yeah, not a good album cover.

Full clips are also up on the label's site (http://www.429records.com/sites/429r...d_lisaloeb.asp). Um, I'm not exactly loving the clips, aside from a couple of the slower-tempo songs, but I'm still optimistic for the final product.

I also read that there are two exclusive tracks on the Japanese release - which I think I read is out next week? I hope they surface stateside at some point.

ETA: Actually the clips sound better on second listen/decent headphones. Swept Away and Ami, I'm Sorry sound pretty classic Lisa (in a good way).

The clips sound pretty much what I was expecting from this album! Definitely some more pop-punk elements, but it works with her brand of songwriting. The songs with that sound remind me of We Could Still Belong Together, which has always been one of her strongest pop tracks. Definitely some classic Lisa sounding tunes, too. Glad the material doesn't reflect the album cover

Oh, actually it's out TODAY in Japan! Hopefully we'll hear it before February Bonus tracks are A Holiday Song and Fallback Guy. And this is the sort-of-hilarious cover (but still better than the US cover).

I can't speak to her music, but she came off as a vile human being on her reality show years ago.

I love when she was on The View some years ago, and to me, put a really out of nowhere smack down on Elizabeth Hasslebeck (or Hassleback?).
She told her something like "you're point of view is so extreme" .. but she said it very sweetly.
    Who said you were evil?

I've always liked her! I saw the video for Stay when I was in probably first grade, and asked my mom for the CD. Tails was my very first CD, actually. From then on, I've purchased every single album minus the children's' records. I have b-sides, rarities, EPs, etc.

Was her Twitter response to me kind of rude? Yeah, but I don't deny I didn't deserve it! I'm glad she stuck up for her work, but I maintain that there is zero effort in that album cover. I would help her design a better one for free, and I guarantee it would look better.

By the way - I DM'd Lisa Loeb on Twitter to apologize if my tweet hurt her feelings. She graciously responded and said: "I like the album cover. Sorry if you don't. I was pregnant when we took the photo! Ahh, timing. You should see the Japanese cover too. I like that you're Honest. I should get your opinion on the concert tshirt designs!" All is right in the world. *puts on cat glasses*

^That whole discourse cracked me up

Glad it all wrapped up on a happy note, I like the tone of her response.
