Puppetry. Cardboard city Whack-a-Mole. Futuristic clothes. Yep, it's a Missy video. And it's FUCKING PERFECT. She's just as innovative and fresh as she was 20 years ago. I love this song/video so much.
I don't understand the question, and I won't respond to it.

She is ON FIRE. I've never been much of a fan, but I'm definitely checking out this new album.

I didn't realize how much I missed Missy Elliott. I've been playing her in the car a lot but tonight I sat and went through a bunch of her old videos, starting with The Rain and Sock It 2 Me. Her videos have always been amazing. It didn't occur to me until I saw WTF that she's used a lot of puppet imagery over her career. There are several videos where her movements are very marionette-like.

Another thing that made me smile... if you scroll through the most recent comments on all her old videos, there are tons of young people discovering her older material thanks to the Super Bowl appearance and the new WTF video, and the responses are overwhelmingly positive and excited. It's nice to see people appreciating her for the incredible artist that she is.

I'm praying that there's still an album coming, because the new EP did nothing for me. The songs are lacking the fun, exciting energy that her best singles used to feature. Even Where They From is better than anything on Iconology.

Sadly I agree. I found out the album was coming out yesterday around noon and my spirits were soaring with excitement. Listened to it at 9pm and was done with it by 9:15. I enjoy Throw It Back, but the rest was boring. I'm glad I wasn't waiting for weeks or months for that (although technically been waiting 14 years for it.)
